Kitchen Cabinets
The variables such as door styles, wood species, colors, etcetera seem to make the choice of kitchens
seem infinite. We have done very high end kitchens to using the customer's barn wood to make cabinets.
We work in traditional face frame style cabinets as a rule but have stepped out of that box on several
occasions also. We use no particle board in the cabinet's construction but typically use cabinet grade
plywood in it's place. All hardware is top quality and the style is up to customer of course. The following are
a few examples of what we've done.

This beautiful set of kitchen cabinets
was built to the customers
specifications. They knew what style of
cabinet they wanted and provided their
own measurements of their kitchen.
The set was built in our shop and
delivered over 600 miles away.

Each component for each door frame
was rabbeted and then had walnut
stock glued in to provide the
contrasting trim. The drawer fronts
have walnut strips inlaid for additional
contrast. The lights in the upper
cabinets are halogen touch control
lights with three brightness levels for
displaying your treasures. The pictures
are good but the actual kitchen is very
appealing and comfortable.
The bar has the kitchen's range
mounted in it. The bar is on wheels for
cleaning purposes and also if any
large items need to come through the
kitchen. As you can see it provides
plenty of storage and also additional
seating. This picture also shows the
custom matching trim made for the
countertops. These cabinets also
feature solid wood dovetailed drawers
with concealed underdrawer slides.
This picture shows the additional
storage space above the upper
cabinets where there is often a soffit.
We have also done several sets of
cabinets where the soffit extends in
front of the cabinets with lights
mounted there for accent and work
lighting.

We also made the trim for this kitchen so it would match the cabinets. The window casings are solid oak with
walnut and oak trim. Door frames, base trim, wainscoting with chair rail and crown molding were all made to
match.
The next set of cabinets were done in hickory with a clear finish for a more rustic look, but as you will see rustic
doesn't mean primitive. Hickory is a very durable and distinctive wood. It can be difficult to work with to the point
that some shops won't use it but for us the results are worth the added effort!
Another kitchen in oak with some nice added features requested by the customer.
The customer requested the combination cabinet of wine
rack, computer desk and glass cabinet be built for the
dining area. It fit in nicely with the kitchen and was a real
space saver.

As you can see there are many possibilities available for
your kitchen. Types of finish, styles, species of wood all
come together to create your own unique space. We can
work from photographs or descriptions. If needed we also
have suggestions based from the experience of putting
together many other kitchens. Give us a call and let's see
what can be done for your kitchen.
