This Red Oak desk was built to serve several purposes obviously. It matches their kitchen cabinets which are across the room from it and displays their nice glassware while serving as a computer desk and wine rack also. The upper cabinet has glass shelves and three level touch control lighting. This was pretty much the owners' design. My part was in making it.
This desk and cabinets are done in quarter-sawn White Oak. The desk is a knock-off of a factory built one that the owner wanted duplicated and improved. The drawers are solid wood dovetailed with concealed full-extension soft-close slides. Two of the drawers are set up for keeping files.
The large cabinet in back contains a roll-out cart that holds the computer equipment. It is ventilated with a fan. The drawers are made the same as the desk. The upper doors have beveled glass panes and all doors use concealed soft-close hinges. The upper cabinets have glass shelves and LED lighting. The cabinets have a granite top and include a bar sink and under-counter wine cooler.
The room itself is a large second level addition that is mostly glassed in and looks out over a point in their lake. Beautiful view and a very nice den!
This is one of my earliest desks but I'm still proud to show it. The desk looks as nice today as when it was made. It uses full-extension slides and dovetailed drawers. The upper cabinets have sliding doors and all ends are raised panel. The wood is Red Oak with a Golden Oak stain. The office has a nice view looking out over their built-in pool with a forest behind.
A simple yet efficient computer desk. We later built a matching four drawer filing cabinet for the left side of the desk with
raised end panels. The upper cabinet contains racks for CD's and has plenty of space for paper, books and whatever
else needs to be stored close at hand. Call today if we can provide you with your office needs.
